I lost my husband 1/4/21 to Bulbar ALS. He also suffered from Stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma, and at the beginning of covid, suffered 2 heart attacks. These illnesses occurred in a time span of 5 years. It was a hard 5 years, I cared for him at home until he passed. We had many moments where we talked of our lives together, what will happen to us after he leaves us, he was terminal. He wanted to cry many times but he was tough, when he was able to accept what was happening to him, he would cry, I always told him it’s ok to not be ok, it’s ok to cry. He lost his voice due to Bulbar, i missed his voice the most. I wear my ZOX everyday, I need the affirmation that it is ok to not be ok. We never know what lies ahead for us but I do know i can hope for better days.
