My son is neurodivergent, and we’ve been through the wringer trying to find something that can serve as a positive reminder IN THE MIDDLE of a moment… we had a meltdown and somehow, I was able to keep my cool and hold the space for him. After the storm passed and and we could talk through what happened, he got up and quickly disappeared. He was gone barely a second before coming back to me with something in his hand and he slides the “there’s nothing you can’t do” Zox onto my wrist. We were sitting in my usual spot and right next to me in the windowsill was his “You Got This!” Zox which I skipped onto his wrist and then quietly cried onto his shoulder at the HUGE moment we just came through the other side of. Thank you for these moments, this hasn’t been the only one.
