When you’re in the process of growing, you have to learn how to take what people say and let them fall behind you. There are always going to be people that don’t like who you are, what you’re doing, how you do things, etc. If you’re in customer service, you know how true this is! But, really, there are always going to be people to oppose you. It’s really hard not to take their comments to heart, but it’s so important not to let them get to you.
Constructive criticism is one thing – harmful commentary is another.
I think one amazing tactic that I would consider to help you protect your mental health: use a filter. In other words, what is a positive takeaway from their comments, and what is just an opinion? Remember: opinions arenot facts. Don’t let another’s negativity get in the way of your journey. I hope this ZOX helps you remember not to take too much to heart – it’ll only drag you down.
