Story:
There's a line Will Smith uses in the movie After Earth that I absolutely love:

“Fear is not real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that do not at present and may not ever exist. That is near insanity. Do not misunderstand me - danger is very real but fear is a choice.”

Lately, I've been focusing a lot on what it is that makes me afraid to push my boundaries - what causes me to procrastinate. Is it laziness? Is it a fear of being uncomfortable? The quote above is one that has stayed with me for years - the idea that fear is a choice. We choose to worry about things that don't yet exist; we're fearful of a future we imagine rather than focusing on where we are right here, right now. My hope for this Strap is that every time you wear it, you'll remember that quote - to conquer fear, we need to remember that it's not even real to begin with.
