When I was young, I used to imagine what it'd be like to have my life be like one of those "choose your own path" style books. What if it were possible to make a decision, see how it played out then go back and try another choice later? The phrase nine lives is so interesting to me because while it's original context was saying someone seemed to have a knack for getting out of difficult situations, my mind always goes more to the fictitious.
