There are more than 7 billion people on earth. 7 billion people making memories every second-- babies are born, birthdays are celebrated, couples are getting married. In those same moments, there are hardships-- a loved one is passing, a car accident is occurring, illnesses are being diagnosed. 

In my life, there have been times when I have felt that no one could possibly know what I was going through. During a breakup, the death of a family member, or being bullied, it always felt like it was me against the world in each situation. Yet, as I went through each challenge, I found a common thread. That common thread being, there was always at least one person, who knew exactly how I felt. They had been there, they had felt my pain, and they were the light in my darkness. They reassured me that I was not alone.

When I first started working at Zox, I was not prepared for the impact a wristband could have on not only one person, but a community. The authentic love, concern, and friendship complete strangers provide for one another within this community is something that has deeply moved me. If I would have experienced that during my own challenges, it would have made things much easier. No matter what you are going through, remember there are 7 billion other people, just like you, also trying to navigate the hurdles of life. You are not alone, and you will always find the light in your darkness.
