Story:
I've always had trouble trying to draw things that were right in front of me. It takes an incredible amount of patience with myself. After many years of trying, I learned that my brain just doesn't handle it well. I'm an extreme over-thinker and when I'm faced with accurately representing something that's real, I break it down and analyze it so much that it becomes rather stressful. I think we all have things in life that cause us to do the same thing. For me, my instinct when approaching a blank canvas is not to draw something realistic, but rather take what I am feeling and let it out. I now know to embrace that.
