Stardust

Details

This design is a long pattern of hand-drawn constellations that stretch over the length of almost three and a half Straps, with a unique gradient that stretches over the entire design. That means that almost every single Strap will feature a slightly different set of colors as well as a slightly different part of the design.

Limited to three per person.

Story

I remember when we first released the original Stardust in January 2017. At the time, it was something I was really excited about because it was one of the longest Strap designs we had ever made. The idea with it was simple - when you ordered, you wouldn't know which portion of the art you'd get - what color variant and art you'd find. I loved the idea that what you'd discover could be part of the experience.
Now, as we release a brand new version drawn by Darren Goldman, I can't help but reflect on what this design really stands for: Us.
Carl Sagan has a great quote on this: “The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff.”
You'll even find Biblical references to the same thing in Genesis: 'Then God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.'

I love that so much. This idea that even in a universe so vast, so enormous in its expanse that it's impossible for us to comprehend its size, we exist. Living, breathing human beings who, while made from the same thing, are all incredibly unique. That's beautiful.
What we're made from is how we exist - what we do here is why. You might not have a clear path ahead - in fact, the fear of the unknown may leave you feeling unable to move. But just remember this: In all the known universe - the 1 billion trillion stars and all the planets that come with them - you exist, and existence is never an accident. You were meant to be here, just as you are.
My hope for you, with this wonderful Strap (one of my all-time favorites), is that it reminds you that you're here on purpose. That it encourages you to accept and love yourself, exactly as you are. Because it's not until we accept ourselves exactly as we are that we can shine the brightest.
