Story:
Magnificence. This strap is about a Hebrew monster called Ziz. It appears in Jewish mythology and is so big it blocks out the light of the sun. It is known to protect the earth from ‘storms of the south’. This creature’s magnificence inspired me; how it uses its power and size to protect instead of inflicting wrath. We have quite a bit of power in what we say and do, so I feel the Ziz acts as a symbol of how we should use our lives for good and put the needs of others before ourselves. If a ‘storm’ is coming it's our job to selflessly protect the ones we love (and even sometimes the ones we don’t). Annabelle Popa
