Story:
We've recently started taking Sven to swim lessons and I have to say it's been an incredible experience. When he first started, he was very nervous and hesitant, not wanting to listen to the teacher. I pulled him aside and told him I know it seems scary now, but to think about all the fun we'll get to have in the water later.

"Just do your best buddy, I know you'll figure it out."

The next time we went I saw a change in his demeanor - he began to love the process of learning, even when it was difficult.

I think we can apply that same mentality to our lives - to fall in love with the process of learning to continually do our best rather than focusing on perfection. Perfection, in many cases, is a myth that keeps us from being happy. Part of true happiness, to me, is loving the fact that we did our absolute best.
