Meet Jennifer Borow!
Meet the MOD
Hi Jennifer! Where are you from?
Originally from the lower Hudson Valley in NY in the small village of New Paltz. New Paltz is nestled between the lower Shawangunk mountains with the Walkill River running through downtown. Was the most incredible place to grow up!
You’re a moderator for the VIP group. What does the position mean to you?
To me, the Mod role means I keep tabs on happenings in the group, connect with other members who love the brand and its messaging as I do. Also, my goal is to make sure everyone in VIP posts with the rules the Kuiper family set for the group.
What encouraged you to take that position?
I love Zox and found it a few years ago via Facebook ad. My first strap was Breathe, which I still hold on to. I wanted to become a Mod for VIP (and Zoxlist) to help increase presence of assistance in the group. There were and still are so many people joining VIP, it’s important members posts are relatable, Zox focused and family friendly. I love the group and had been a member for a few years before becoming a Mod.
When did you become a MOD?
I think in early 2020 or late 2019. Pre-pandemic.
What do you enjoy most about being a MOD?
The people in VIP are an amazing group. I love interacting when I can, adding positive comments or emojis on member posts. I love meeting new people and seeing what drew them to VIP.
What’s something you’d want more people to know about being a MOD?
Being a Mod is a hard but great role. Sometimes you become a sounding board and sometimes you help direct members to the rules when they are broken and sometimes you point members to other Zox related resources, like the emotional support group if they need to talk or just let it all out to people who may be in similar circumstances.
Which ZOX do you wear most?
I stick with one that speaks to me depending on what’s going on in my life, my family and work. I wore Human for about 6 weeks and just switched to the Blog strap, Hum Your Own Tune.
How big is your collection?
Um… it’s pretty big. I collect golds and black stars and have a huge binder with those in it. I have silver and white straps as well and usually give them away, occasionally sell them and keep one or two if they really say something to me. My most recent acquisitions include all four of the original Seasons straps, Tranquillity. I’m waiting on Moon Child to arrive today and the beautiful set of straps that were in the weekly drop a week or two ago; Reverie Du Soir, Repos De La Nuit, Eclat Du Jour, Eveil Du Matin.
What do you plan on getting next?
I love the Zox Boxes and would love to get some of the OGs in my collection.
Thank you so much for sharing, Jennifer! Your pictures are awesome, and I hope you can snag some of those originals soon!
Keep an eye out for more of your friends to be featured soon!
Be bold,
Landri
